About Carissa
Hello, I’m Carissa.
I was born in California, but Albuquerque has been home for more than 20 years, with the small exception of a dreamy year abroad in Scotland as a university student.
I’ve been in the real estate industry since 2018 and have been part of nearly 150 transactions.
Learning the business from the inside
I started out as a marketer for a title company, where I began to understand the ins and outs of escrow. I then joined a real estate team as Director of Operations and assistant to the team leader, working behind the scenes on the full process of buying and selling homes in Albuquerque and the surrounding area.
That beginning shapes how I work today. I know how many small details stand between an accepted offer and a closed sale, and I know how much it matters when someone is paying attention to them.
The little house that changed everything
In 2019, I purchased a little 1980s foreclosure with no renovation experience and no familiarity with power tools. Over the years, that house became a kind of science lab where I could experiment, learn, and grow. It also uncovered a deep passion for creating beautiful, curated spaces.
I know what it means to love a home
That is why I look at your home with the same care I give my own. If you’re selling, I know how much of your life lives in those rooms, and I’ll treat them that way. If you’re buying, I’ll help you see both what a house is today and what it could become.

My own business, with a strong team behind it
I’m part of The Shaffer Group at Keller Williams, a top team in New Mexico, while still running my own business. You’ll work directly with me, backed by the experience of a respected team.
My commitment to you
I hold myself to a strong work ethic and place great value on integrity. My goal is to be an encouraging coach, from the first conversation through closing.
It would be my honor to serve you.
Let’s talk about your home.
No pressure, just a conversation about what you’re hoping for.
